We are pleased to advise that, as a provider of essential services permitted to perform work in accordance with the regulations issued in terms of the Disaster Management Act, 2002, our offices are open daily between 08h00 and 16h30 to ensure continued support to our clients through this difficult time.

At Klagsbrun Edelstein Bosman Du Plessis Attorneys, it is our priority to ensure the health and safety of our staff, clients and service providers so as to maintain a healthy work environment to limit the spread of the virus.

• we will be operating with limited staff on the premises, in that all staff capable of working from home will do so;
• we are equipped with technology such as Microsoft teams and Zoom, enabling us to operate remotely and avoid work-related travel, if possible. Should travel be necessary all staff is required to take sensible precautions to minimise the risk; 
• all staff, clients and service providers entering the workplace are required to wear a face mask and report to reception to be screened and have their temperature taken with a hand-held infrared thermometer by our dedicated Covid-19 compliance officer. Anyone not within the correct temperature range with not be permitted to proceed elsewhere on the premises;
• our Covid-19 compliance officer will also request that you complete a visitors’ register at reception;

• hand sanitizer spray bottles have been provided at all entry and exit points throughout the workplace, as well as in the common areas, such as the boardrooms, bathrooms and kitchens. Please ensure that you make use of same and sanitize your hands regularly;
• visible posters have been placed throughout the workplace, reminding us of the measures to be adhered to, to prevent the spread of the virus;
• all staff, clients and service providers are required to maintain social distancing of at least 2 metres at all times within the workplace, and, to avoid shaking hands to greet one another;
• our offices will continue to be cleaned on a daily basis to ensure general hygiene throughout the workplace;
• all our staff have been advised to stay at home if they experience any symptoms related to Covid-19 or any other illness, and, to contact the Covid-19 hotline should they have any concerns of being exposed to the virus;
• should any of our staff be required to be tested for Covid-19, they are to be tested by a certified medical practitioner equipped to diagnose Covid-19, and, provide the firm with a medical note from the medical practitioner before they are permitted to return to the workplace;
• we have also requested our service providers to ensure that they are developing plans around Covid-19 to maintain their commitments to our offices during this time;
• we will be monitoring all developments in the regulations and the spread of the virus to ensure compliance and how best to safeguard our staff, clients and service providers in the workplace, updating our policies to adapt to any changing developments, should it be necessary;
• any person entering the workplace, does so at their own risk and the firm takes no responsibility should any person contract Covid-19.

Your safety while on our premises is of utmost concern to us, which is why we as a firm will try and implement as many measures as possible to ensure a safe environment. The measures set out herein may be changed from time to time, without notice, in order to conform in any manner required by statute and/or regulations.
